Membership and Association Rules

1.1 The Association shall consist of three classes of members:
Fellows Member and Professional Member.
1.2 Fellows shall be Members of the Association who are
interested in the advancement of Humanistic Hypnotherapy as a
science and as a profession and who have met the requirements
described below.
1.3 The minimum requirements for Fellow status shall be (a) a
Master degree, prior status as a Member for at least 3 years, (c)
five years of acceptable professional experience,(d) evidence of
unusual and outstanding contribution or performance in the field
of Hypnotherapy.
1.4 Professional Members of the Association shall be persons who
are interested in the advancement of Humanistic Hypnotherapy
as a science and as a profession and who have met the
requirements of training by IHCHA Certified Instructor. The initials
used is CHH (Certified Humanistic Hypnotherapist).
1.5 Certified Instructor: A certified member who has successfully
completed the IHCHA Train The Trainer program, and teaches the
IHCHA Hypnotism Certification course. The initials used is
Certified Instructor (CI).
1.6 Membership could be cancel if violate code of ethics.
1.7 Membership need maintain by paying annual Membership fee
and provide the document of continue education (20 hours /year).
2. Annual Membership Fees
2.1 Fees are paid annually.
2.2 The amount of the Membership fees shall be determined from
time to time by the Board.
2.3 Notice of renewal shall be sent to each member by the
National Office prior to the anniversary of the Members initial
membership.
2.4 Only Members in good standing shall be entitled to exercise
the rights attached to their Membership.
3. Termination of membership
3.1 A Membership in the Association is terminated when:
3.2 the Member dies.
3.3 the Member fails to maintain any qualifications for
membership described in the section on membership conditions
of these by-laws;
3.4 the Member’s term of membership expires; or
3.5 the Association is liquidated or dissolved.
4. Code of Ethics
4.1. I will make every effort when appropriate to complete a
comprehensive standard of the therapy relationship;
4.2. If I do not have the skill level to provide the help needed, I
will refer a client to other qualified professionals;
4.3. I will preserve the client's right to confidentiality and will not
release any identifying information verbally or in writing without
the client's signed permission (excepting the threat of suicide,
homicide or suspected child abuse or when requested by a Court
of law);
4.4. I will not engage in any relationship with the client other than
the counsellor-client relationship;
4.5. I will not touch a client and convey any message which might
be interpreted as expressing sexual feelings for the client;
4.6. I will provide a safe, private setting for counselling;
4.7. I will be careful to properly assess, prevent, and document
the possibility and potential of suicidal or homicidal behavior by a
client;
4.8. I will immediately (within 24 hours) report the sexual or
physical abuse of a child to the police or other authorized
persons;
4.9. I will not give a client the false hope that the counselling
relationship can be anything more than that, or that it can be
permanent;
4.10. I will not pressure a client to remain in a counselling
relationship against the client's expressed desire to terminate;
